There's a lot of cool technology out there, and more every day. It's tough to keep up with it all but there are four things you need to know:

•   we're on top of every new technology,
•   we make it work as if it were an old standard,
•   we make it work so that it never seems standard,
•   we know how to leave it at home when it won't serve your purpose.

If businesses use new technologies merely to do what they’ve always done but at a faster pace, they haven’t done enough.

The key to leveraging technology effectively is for a business to differentiate itself in how it uses technology. Two areas in particular show tremendous promise for establishing this differentiation:

•   establishing and cultivating customer relationships
•   enhancing and communicating brand image

IIn fact, one could make the argument that businesses have greater potential for developing competitive advantage through how they apply technology in these two areas alone, than in how they exercise their core competencies.

•   Programming
•   Database development
•   Internet applications
•   Content management
•   Intranet/Extranet development
•   Custom applications
